I rethink about the purpose of the blog. As this blog will list and tell about great ordinary Indonesian people ranging from a contestant in Idol show, an ordinary labor, etc. But since I am a fan myself for Januarisman and blog more about him than anyone else for the moment then I decide to move my postings about Januarisman himself in another blog. But before this, he is an entertainer with a low paid one. Now with his intelligence and funny look and character, he is one of the most successful show biz celebrity in Indonesia.
Although with some controversy arise from his show (http://www.indonesiamatters.com/1270/tukul-arwana/). Nevertheless, he is one of a great talent in Indonesia show biz.
Januarisman - Indonesian Idol 5 contestant - popularity grows each day by day on the internet. Here I list sites or blogs that discuss or mention about this very musical talented man (some with video).
And I don't know is Januarisman a common name in Indonesian. But when you try to search for Google it returns 2,550 results. So, is he the next Indonesian Idol ? Or maybe... next Asian Idol ? ;)

I always look down on Indonesian Idol show (1-3). This attitude caused by my feeling that Indonesian audience seems to prefer good looking contestant and sympathy over singing quality . But after Indonesian Idol's 5 audition shown on Friday (11 April 2007) I started to think differently that maybe this time the sympathy and singing quality will go on rightly to someone, Mr. Januarisman.
This Mr. Januarisman is a singing beggar (pengamen in Indonesian) and a regular with his band in Jabotabek (Jakarta Bogor Tangerang Bekasi) railway trains. Watching in TV I have impression that he shows a good character, good singing quality and also have very high fluency in guitar playing that Mr. Indra in jury board give a comment that his guitar is actually his soul. And even one of the Jury, Mrs. Titi DJ becomes so emotional that she weeps because of the wonderful voice.
One of my admiration for this guy which I stated before is that this guy has a tough character. You know you don't have to cry or making a sad suffering expression to beg for a sympathy even he is actually poor. But hey, he has a wonderful wife and a very lovely and cute baby :)
So people, I think in the coming weeks of this reality show I will be one of Mr. Januarisman's loyalist voter to make him a winner.
